About the role
We are looking for a resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive primary school in Waltham Forest. The role starts in September and is full‑time, offering a daily rate of £95‑£115 depending on experience.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social needs.
- Implement and monitor behaviour management strategies in collaboration with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral team.
- Support pupils with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD and SEMH to help them engage positively in the classroom.
- Promote emotional regulation, confidence and independence through trusted relationships.
- Assist the class teacher in creating a calm and inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD or SEMH.
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and using de‑escalation techniques.
- Resilience, patience and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
