Behaviour Mentor – School Support Role

About the role

Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a structured school environment in Sheffield. The role starts in September 2026 and focuses on providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support to help pupils stay focused, manage challenges and maintain progress in their learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver targeted, goal‑driven guidance based on individual pupil needs.
• Assist pupils in staying on task through structured activities and planned interventions.
• Apply behaviour management strategies that build self‑control, resilience and constructive decision‑making.
• Record and share progress updates with teaching staff and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate efficiently with teachers, families and external agencies when required.

Required profile

• Experience working in a school, SEMH, youth work or a similarly structured setting.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in using behaviour plans.
• Consistent, steady approach to handling challenging situations.
• Proactive, independent working style with high reliability.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one through Reeson Education.

Required skills

• Knowledge of established behaviour frameworks and intervention techniques.
