Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School (Full-time)

About the role

We are looking for a resilient Behaviour Mentor to work with pupils aged 11‑16 in a secondary school in Croydon. The role is full‑time and starts immediately, providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support to students who need additional behavioural intervention.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small‑group sessions to improve behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Implement and monitor individual behaviour support plans.
• Use de‑escalation techniques to manage challenging situations.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff and the SEND department.
• Promote attendance, resilience and positive attitudes throughout the school day.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs.
• Experience in a secondary school, PRU or alternative provision is desirable.
• Confident in behaviour management and de‑escalation strategies.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
