Behaviour Mentor – Support Students' Emotional Development

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join an outstanding special‑needs school in Uxbridge. You will work directly with pupils who need extra support to manage their emotions and behaviour, helping them thrive in a nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for students with emotional and behavioural needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement positive behaviour strategies.
• Design and deliver tailored interventions that promote self‑confidence and social skills.
• Act as a positive role model, guiding students toward improved engagement and learning.

Required profile

• Experience working with children or young people, preferably in SEN or behavioural support.
• Patience, empathy and a strong commitment to helping students overcome challenges.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Confidence in applying behaviour management and de‑escalation techniques.
• Adaptable, proactive and able to work effectively within a team.
