Behaviour Support Assistant – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role

This full‑time position supports pupils in Years 7‑11 at a well‑established secondary school in Chiswick. You will work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to help students stay engaged, progress academically and develop positive behaviour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for KS3 and KS4 students across a range of subjects.
• Assist with classroom routines, behaviour management and lesson preparation.
• Build trusting relationships with young people and act as a reliable role model.
• Support the set‑up and delivery of a new literacy programme.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, pastoral staff and external partners to promote wellbeing.

Required profile

• Confident, patient and proactive when working with young people.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport.
• Interest in education, youth work, coaching or mentoring.
• Reliability, resilience and a collaborative team ethic.
• Previous experience with young people is beneficial but not essential.
