Bench Joiner – Estimating & BOM Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bench Joiner with a strong background in bespoke joinery to take ownership of project costing from initial enquiry through to final account, with a clear pathway to an Estimator role.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for bespoke joinery projects.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications and design information.
• Calculate material quantities, labour requirements and manufacturing costs.
• Assess machine‑shop, bench joinery, finishing and polishing hours.
• Liaise with clients, architects, designers and project teams throughout the estimating process.
• Monitor project variations and record additional works.

Required profile

• Proven experience completing bills of materials and project costing.
• Background in bespoke joinery or woodworking.

Required skills

• Bill of Materials (BOM) costing.
• Technical drawing interpretation.
• Material quantity calculation.
• Cost estimation for labour and manufacturing.
• Bench joinery processes, including finishing and polishing.
