Bereavement and Accident Claims Assessor

About the role

Join the Customer Services team at People’s Partnership as a Bereavement and Accident Claims Assessor. You will support members during some of the most sensitive moments in their lives, handling claims with professionalism, empathy and a focus on fairness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and assess death, ill‑health and accident claims across the organisation’s product range.
• Gather accurate information, conduct active listening and ensure timely, compliant claim decisions.
• Provide daily support to colleagues by resolving queries and sharing knowledge.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external parties such as coroners, solicitors, IFAs, employers and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to service‑excellence initiatives, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of Financial Services, Workplace Pensions, Master trusts and Automatic Enrolment regulations.
• Basic understanding of bereavement and terminal‑illness processes and the ability to handle emotional conversations.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Proficiency with standard office systems.
