Bid Assistant – Maternity Cover

About the role

The Bid Assistant will provide maternity‑cover support for an established construction and property consultancy based in South‑East London. Working closely with the bid team, you will help prepare, coordinate and deliver high‑quality tender submissions that align with corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor public tender portals and identify suitable project opportunities.
• Download tender documentation and manage the bid/no‑bid decision process.
• Lead or support bid kick‑off meetings as required.
• Produce polished submissions, ensuring compliance with branding and guidelines.
• Draft written content, research responses, and handle clarifications for SQ, ITT, framework and fee submissions.
• Liaise with internal departments to gather necessary information.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date tender tracker and request client feedback.
• Create bespoke presentations, organograms, visuals, case studies and company CVs.
• Manage bid visuals in line with brand standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience working on bids or tenders.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to multitask, meet competing deadlines and work independently.
• Team‑focused attitude with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat for PDF handling.
