Bid Assistant (Maternity Cover)

About the role

The company, an established construction and property consultancy, is seeking a Bid Assistant on a maternity‑cover basis for its South‑East London office. You will support the preparation and delivery of bids, tenders and submissions, ensuring high‑quality, compliant documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor public tender notices and identify suitable project opportunities.
• Express interest in tenders, download documentation and manage the bid/no‑bid process.
• Lead bid kick‑off meetings when required.
• Produce high‑quality submissions, adhering to corporate guidelines and branding.
• Prepare written content, research, clarifications and responses for SQ, ITT, framework and fee submissions.
• Liaise with internal departments to gather bid information and keep the tender tracker up to date.
• Create bespoke presentations, organograms, visuals, case studies and company CVs.
• Manage bid visuals in line with brand guidelines and request client feedback.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with bids.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of other Microsoft Office programmes and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task, manage competing deadlines and work independently.
• Team‑focused attitude.
