Bid Coordinator – Maternity Cover (Construction Consultancy)

About the role

The Bid Coordinator will provide essential support for the preparation and delivery of bids, tenders and submissions for an established construction and property consultancy. This is a maternity cover position based in the South‑East London office, offering a hybrid working arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor public tender notices and identify suitable project opportunities.
• Express interest in tenders, download documentation and manage the bid/no‑bid decision process.
• Lead bid kick‑off meetings where required and keep the tender tracker up to date.
• Produce high‑quality submissions, ensuring compliance with corporate branding and guidelines.
• Prepare written content, research, clarifications and responses for SQ, ITT, framework and fee submissions.
• Liaise with internal departments to gather relevant information and create bespoke presentations, organograms, visuals, case studies and company CVs.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with bids in a construction or property consultancy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task, manage competing deadlines and work independently with initiative.
• Team‑focused mindset and confidence in delivering high‑standard written material.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of other Microsoft Office programmes.
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat.
