Bid Writer – Construction Sector

About the role

The Eric Wright Group is seeking a detail‑focused Bid Writer to join its construction bid team. Reporting to the Director, you will craft high‑quality, compelling content for public and private sector tenders, helping the company win new work.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end bid process, interpreting requirements, managing timelines and delivering submissions on schedule.
• Contribute to bid strategy in kick‑off meetings, shaping win themes that differentiate the business.
• Conduct in‑depth research on clients, sectors and procurement routes, applying the Construction Playbook and public procurement guidance.
• Write clear, original, and tailored responses for PQQs, tenders and frameworks that showcase strengths and value.
• Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and uphold transparency and integrity in all submissions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bid writing within the construction sector.
• Familiarity with construction frameworks such as NWCH, Pagabo and Procure Partnerships.
• Working knowledge of the Construction Playbook and public sector procurement.
• Strong organisational ability to manage multiple concurrent tenders and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, research and writing skills across a range of stakeholders.
