Billing Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to support our US business units from our London office. The role involves managing the full billing cycle for a fast‑growing international organisation, ensuring invoices are accurate, timely and aligned with client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end billing for designated US business units, from invoice creation to dispatch.
• Liaise with finance, operations and project teams to gather purchase orders, billing portal details and supporting documentation.
• Review billing requests, resolve discrepancies and maintain billing schedules and trackers.
• Support cash‑flow by identifying and correcting issues that could delay collections.
• Assist with month‑end reporting, reconciliations, work‑in‑progress and unbilled revenue.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across finance, operations and account management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of billing processes, controls and documentation.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, revenue operations or a similar finance role.
• Background in professional services, agency, healthcare, pharmaceutical or other project‑based environments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Time & Materials and fixed‑fee billing models.
• Strong understanding of billing, revenue and cash collection processes.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and comfortable working in a hybrid environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with ERP or other accounting systems.
