Billing Specialist – Mat Cover

About the role

We are partnering with a long‑standing business in Leeds to recruit a Billing Specialist. You will ensure smooth billing operations, manage financial documentation and support internal stakeholders across the organisation. The role is ideal for an organised, proactive professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare bills, credit notes, pro‑formas and respond to general enquiries from partners and clients.
• Manage time and disbursement write‑offs and intra‑matter transfers.
• Liaise with partners, fee‑earners, billers and Revenue Coordinators to control unbilled time/costs and maximise billing.
• Assist with e‑billing uploads to client systems and resolve any rejections.
• Maintain a diary of billing events and ensure timely completion of actions.
• Support daily matter management and general housekeeping tasks.
• Keep the Billing Manager informed of issues to maintain smooth service flow.
• Carry out additional finance duties as assigned by the Director of Revenue Operations.
