BMS Bureau Engineer

About the role

A BMS Bureau Engineer is needed to join a technically focused team that supports customers remotely through BMS monitoring, diagnostics and optimisation. The work is based on BMS data from the office, so it suits someone who likes the technical side of controls but wants to spend less time travelling between sites. The position is based in Essex and offers hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Remotely monitor customer BMS systems and their performance and alarms
• Identify faults and abnormal building behaviour, and analyse trends and BMS data
• Carry out remote diagnostics and technical support, and identify opportunities for energy optimisation
• Liaise with site engineers and customers, and escalate issues that require site attendance
• Support service teams with remote technical assistance
• Produce technical reports and recommendations

Required profile

• Previous BMS engineering experience
• Good understanding of HVAC and controls
• Strong fault-finding ability and comfort with software and building data
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Trend or similar systems is advantageous
