BMS Service Manager

About the role

An established and growing BMS, smart-building and energy management business is looking for an experienced BMS Service Manager to take ownership of its service operation. The role leads engineers, manages client relationships and ensures customers receive a consistently high level of technical support. It is based in the Essex/London region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the BMS service engineering team.
• Oversee planned, reactive and preventative maintenance activity.
• Manage engineer allocation, workload and response times.
• Act as a senior point of contact for key customers.
• Monitor service performance, KPIs and customer satisfaction.
• Support the commercial team with renewals, additional works and opportunities.
• Assist with technical escalations and complex BMS issues.
• Manage subcontractors and external suppliers where required.
• Ensure engineers follow company procedures and H&S requirements.
• Identify improvements to service processes and efficiency.
• Support recruitment, development and mentoring of engineers.

Required profile

• Strong BMS service engineering background.
• Previous experience managing engineers or a BMS service function.
• Good understanding of HVAC controls and BMS systems.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage client expectations.
• Full UK driving licence.
