Board Trustee (multiple positions)

About the role

The Reader is seeking four individuals to join its Board of Trustees and, where required, its Community Interest Company (CIC) Board of Directors and Audit Committee. Successful candidates will help shape the organisation’s strategic direction and ensure robust governance.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and contribute to Board of Trustees meetings.
• Serve on the Audit Committee (including chairing it for one role).
• Participate in the CIC Board of Directors where applicable.
• Provide strategic oversight for finance, technology, diversity, brand and partnership initiatives.
• Engage in governance‑related discussions and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in accountancy, technology (cybersecurity or AI), equity, diversity and inclusion, brand management, audience development or corporate partnerships.
• Experience leading membership organisations or networks is desirable.
• Willingness to learn board governance if no prior trustee experience.
• Commitment to attend in‑person meetings in Liverpool.
