Body Repair Instructor – Automotive Technical Trainer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technical Trainer to deliver body‑repair training at our GTG Training Centre in Glasgow. You will teach apprentices, run commercial courses and ensure safe, high‑quality repair practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver apprenticeship training on vehicle body repair, adhering to health, safety, COSHH and other regulations.
• Use appropriate training methods and aids to convey modern repair techniques.
• Support workshop discipline and safety alongside the team leader and automotive manager.
• Compile VQ records, complete awarding‑body documentation and assess trainees against required standards.
• Assist in developing training and assessment processes and stay current with industry technology.
• Provide welfare support to apprentices and employers as needed.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Automotive Body Repair (or equivalent).
• Proven experience with modern vehicle body repair techniques and technology.
• Excellent communication and ability to inspire learners.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Full, clean driving licence held for at least one year.
• Willingness to travel to other UK training centres when required.
