Bookkeeper for MTD ITSA

About the role

We are an established accountancy practice based in North London seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to support our client portfolio in preparation for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self‑Assessment (MTD ITSA). The role involves managing digital records and quarterly submissions for self‑employment and property income clients, working on‑site with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping records using QuickBooks Online.
• Prepare and submit quarterly MTD ITSA updates.
• Manage records for self‑employed and property income clients.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC MTD requirements.
• Work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
• In‑depth familiarity with MTD ITSA processes.
• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
• Eligible to work in the UK and able to work on‑site.
