Bookkeeper

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Bookkeeper to manage the bookkeeping needs of multiple clients using cloud‑based accounting software. You will provide accurate and timely financial information, ensuring all accounts remain up‑to‑date and compliant with current regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping for several clients simultaneously
• Record day‑to‑day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Reconcile sales, purchases and bank accounts
• Maintain and update fixed‑asset registers
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Uphold client confidentiality and data integrity at all times

Required profile

• Experience handling bookkeeping for multiple clients
• Familiarity with cloud‑based accounting software
• Knowledge of VAT filing and fixed‑asset management
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

What we offer

• Salary range £32,000 – £38,000 per year
• 24 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing to 29 days after 12 months)
