Bookkeeper – £30k-£33k, Flexible Hours

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a well‑established accountancy practice in Bromley. You will work closely with a portfolio of clients, delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping services while supporting the firm’s continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain bookkeeping records for multiple client accounts.
• Process purchase and sales invoices, receipts and payments.
• Perform bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and gather information.
• Use cloud accounting platforms such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks to keep records up to date.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within an accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to manage several client accounts simultaneously.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Residence within a commutable distance to Bromley.
• AAT qualification is advantageous but not essential.

• Salary £30,000‑£33,000 per year, dependent on experience.
