Bookkeeper – SME Accounting Support

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join a friendly, supportive accountancy firm that serves small‑to‑medium sized businesses across a variety of sectors. Based in Central London, you will work with clients in media, property, entertainment, luxury retail and professional services, providing end‑to‑end bookkeeping support.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate regularly with clients to obtain accounting records
- Perform general bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations and expense processing
- Maintain sales and purchase ledgers
- Prepare VAT returns and client invoices
- Manage client bank accounts and process payments
- Produce management accounts for clients
Required profile
- Minimum three years of bookkeeping experience in a UK accountancy firm
- Strong academic record with attention to detail
- Willingness to start or continue an AAT or ACCA qualification
