Bookkeeper - Xero Specialist (Remote, UK Hours)

About the role

Huzzle, a talent agency connecting candidates with companies across the UK, US, Canada, Europe and Australia, is looking for a detail-oriented, autonomous Bookkeeper to anchor its client's financial operations. The role takes full ownership of day-to-day record-keeping so that financial data stays precise, up-to-date and compliant, giving leadership the clarity needed to make informed decisions. It is a full-time, fully remote position based on UK working hours.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage accurate financial records exclusively within XERO.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts comprehensively.
• Process invoices, payments and employee expenses from start to finish.
• Prepare clear, concise financial reports for regular leadership review.
• Run month-end close processes to ensure financial integrity.
• Ensure compliance with UK bookkeeping standards and HMRC requirements.

Required profile

• Proven hands-on experience managing books in XERO.
• Strong background in UK bookkeeping, including familiarity with HMRC practices and regulations.
• Deep understanding of AR/AP, reconciliations and ledgers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and clear communication skills for reporting directly to the CEO.
