Branch Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Branch Assistant to join our Coatbridge store, part of the Topps Group of tile retailers. You will combine product knowledge, interior‑design awareness and excellent customer service to help both private and trade customers find the right tile solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and sell tile and related product ranges to customers face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness, visual standards and up‑to‑date point‑of‑sale displays.
• Process cash transactions, refunds and till operations accurately.
• Take and complete telephone orders, providing product advice aligned with current interior‑design trends.
• Support the branch in achieving sales targets and uphold the brand reputation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a retail environment.
• Interest in interior‑design trends and tile applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and handle heavy merchandise.

Required skills

• Customer service delivery.
• Accurate cash handling and till operation.
• Basic product knowledge of tiles and related materials.
