British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter – Work from Home

About the role

Teleperformance is looking for qualified British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreters to join a remote team that supports communication between deaf and hearing individuals. The role is fully work‑from‑home, offering flexible shift patterns and competitive hourly pay.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) support for scheduled and on‑demand sessions.
• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and punctuality.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and multitask between interpreting and call handling.
• Participate in company‑sponsored training and professional development.
• Maintain accurate records and meet performance expectations with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• Level 6 NVQ Certificate in British Sign Language.
• Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting.
• 3‑5 years’ experience in a professional BSL interpretation role.
• Good understanding of Deaf culture.
• Technical knowledge for interpreting IT/Customer Support calls.

Required skills

• Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) platforms.

What we offer

• £43.96 per hour.
• Bonus up to 10% per annum.
• Flexible shift patterns (including 16‑hour weekend shifts or Monday‑Thursday & Sunday blocks).
