Broker – International Casualty Direct & Facultative

About the role

WTW is looking for an experienced Broker to join its International Casualty Direct & Facultative team in London. You will work closely with clients, underwriters and a global network to deliver tailored placement solutions and support business development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses, risk profiles and insurance needs.
• Identify appropriate markets, negotiate with insurers and reinsurers, and execute placement strategies.
• Maintain and grow relationships with clients, underwriters and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare client presentations, programme structures, pricing models and placement documentation.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and Sales teams to design competitive, profitable solutions.
• Drive business development by managing a pipeline of prospects and responding to RFPs.
• Work with specialist teams to provide technical expertise and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal governance and contract standards.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to process improvement.
• Stay updated on market developments, products and industry trends.

Required profile

• Solid experience in insurance broking or underwriting, preferably in casualty, reinsurance or facultative lines.
• Strong knowledge of London and international (re)insurance markets.
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to build lasting client and underwriter relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong analytical capability with the capacity to explain complex insurance solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Independent yet cooperative working style.
• ACII qualification (or working towards it) preferred; additional language skills advantageous.
