Broker Support Technician – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (Hybrid)

About the role

Marsh (Guy Carpenter) is looking for a Broker Support Technician to join its Credit, Bond & Political Risk Reinsurance team in London on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. The role is hybrid, requiring three days a week in the office, and offers flexible working arrangements to support work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the central coordinator for client teams, maintaining visibility of placement status and proactively resolving issues.
• Manage end‑to‑end renewal lifecycles, from pre‑placement through post‑placement, including timelines, trackers and market engagement.
• Support brokers with submission packs, presentations and renewal documentation.
• Track reinsurer quotes, lines, subjectivities, contracts and responses.
• Maintain accurate records in core systems such as GC Marketplace, OpenTWINS and KCenter.
• Coordinate drafting, review and management of contracts, endorsements and evidence of cover documents.
• Oversee account and payment activities throughout the contract lifecycle, liaising with Client Support Services and other stakeholders.
• Organise and attend client and reinsurer meetings, ensuring effective communication and documentation.
• Provide concise progress updates in regular team meetings and foster strong cross‑functional relationships.

Required profile

• Experience in broker support, client service or a similar role within insurance or reinsurance.
• Exposure to Credit, Bond or Political Risk reinsurance business is preferred.
• Strong understanding of reinsurance placement and renewal processes.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating cross‑functional teams and engaging with clients and reinsurers.
