Builder – Construction Projects in Bristol

About the role

Cornerstone Construction Bristol Ltd is seeking a full‑time Builder to join its on‑site team in Bristol. You will work across a diverse portfolio that includes rail and infrastructure, schools, residential new builds, extensions and commercial facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Carry out groundwork, brickwork and structural alterations.
• Assist with installations and fit‑outs as required.
• Collaborate closely with site managers, subcontractors and other trades.
• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area.
• Deliver materials safely and support the overall project timeline and quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong experience in general building work, including bricklaying, groundwork and basic carpentry or joinery.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings with attention to detail.
• Good understanding of site health and safety practices and safe use of tools, equipment and PPE.
• Reliable time management, flexibility to work on varied projects and locations.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant trade qualifications (NVQ or equivalent); CSCS card and driving licence are beneficial.
