Building & Construction Project Management Placement

About the role

Join Airbus UK’s Buildings & Construction project team at the Broughton manufacturing site, leading strategic building and construction projects that support the company’s sustainability, production and safety objectives. The 12.5‑month placement offers hands‑on experience in delivering major construction, refurbishment and plant replacement projects from concept through to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope by liaising with clients and key business stakeholders.
• Work with architects and design teams to develop concepts and feasibility studies.
• Lead multi‑functional project teams to produce detailed building‑services designs.
• Develop and monitor project delivery plans, managing risks, opportunities and budgets.
• Prepare capital investment business cases and report financial performance.
• Monitor on‑site construction work, ensuring technical compliance and health & safety standards.

Required profile

• Undergraduate studying Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Building Surveying or a related discipline.
• Basic project‑management knowledge with a willingness to learn Airbus tools and processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Awareness of CAD software.

• Salary of £24,246 per year.
