Building Controls Supervisor – BMS

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Building Management Systems (BMS) Supervisor to lead the technical delivery for a large, mixed‑use estate in Bath. You will be the primary point of contact for all building controls, ensuring the estate’s systems remain safe, efficient and reliable while enjoying a stable, Monday‑Friday schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute both scheduled and reactive maintenance of BMS, lighting controls and energy monitoring systems.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and implement system improvements.
• Collaborate with internal engineers, external contractors and suppliers across the estate.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to apprentices and maintenance engineers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and future upgrades.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a BMS or Building Controls Engineer.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve faults thoroughly.
• Commitment to high‑quality work and long‑term asset stewardship.
• Excellent communication skills for supporting colleagues and contractors.
