Building Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Catch 22, in partnership with a leading FM service provider, is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across a premium workplace in Milton Keynes. The role blends building engineering with hands‑on fabric duties, ensuring safe, compliant and well‑presented facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC and building fabric systems.
• Carry out fault finding, minor works and first‑line repairs with minimal disruption.
• Coordinate subcontractors and support statutory compliance activities.
• Maintain accurate job, asset and compliance records using CAFM and SharePoint.
• Provide a professional, customer‑focused service to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Recognised trade qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Strong experience in facilities management or live operational environments.
• Good knowledge of UK health & safety, RAMS and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Organised, safety‑focused and able to work independently.
