Building Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Building Maintenance Technician to join our Site Services team in Wokingham. This hands‑on position ensures our facilities remain safe, compliant and operating efficiently through planned preventative maintenance and statutory testing.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across the site.
• Perform weekly fire alarm, fire sprinkler, emergency lighting and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
• Inspect fire doors, ladders, step ladders, drainage systems and sump pumps.
• Conduct general building and plant‑room inspections and minor repairs.
• Record maintenance activities, compliance checks and report defects.
• Support specialist contractors and ensure all work follows Health & Safety procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in building maintenance, facilities management or a similar role.
• Good practical maintenance skills with a proactive problem‑solving approach.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload and commit to health, safety and quality standards.
