Building Services Engineer (Electrical bias)

About the role

The Building Services Engineer (Electrical bias) will deliver planned and reactive maintenance for hard and soft facilities management systems, ensuring high availability and statutory compliance. Based in Bordon, the role covers a wide range of electrical, mechanical and specialist assets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on Building Management Systems, UPS, fire detection/suppression, emergency lighting, CCTV, access control, water hygiene and critical HVAC/mechanical plant.
• Act as an Authorised Person under JSP375, managing permit‑to‑work, isolations and handovers safely.
• Use the CAFM system (Agility) to plan, record and optimise maintenance activities.
• Support infrastructure works delivered by approved subcontractors.
• Participate in an on‑call rota with call‑out allowance and travel to other contract sites as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrician to BS 7671 (18th Edition).
• Inspection, Testing & Certification qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391/2) – desirable.
• Authorised Person appointment under JSP375 – training provided if not held.
• Proven experience maintaining BMS, UPS/generator, fire, lighting, CCTV, access control, HVAC/mechanical plant and water‑hygiene systems.
• Experience working within permit‑to‑work and Safe Systems of Work environments.
• Competent user of CAFM (Agility) and MS Office, able to update O&M and compliance records.
• Eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance and hold a full UK driving licence.
