Building Surveyor – Commercial Property

About the role

Join an independent London building consultancy as a Building Surveyor, managing your own client portfolio and delivering end‑to‑end projects. You will work with commercial landlords, occupiers and investors across office, industrial and mixed‑use assets, while receiving structured APC support towards MRICS.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical due diligence and acquisition surveys
• Prepare and negotiate dilapidations claims
• Act as Contract Administrator on refurbishment schemes
• Review licences for alteration and refurbishment projects
• Carry out defect investigations and produce technical reports
• Prepare schedules of condition and maintenance advice
• Manage client relationships and identify repeat business
• Provide technical guidance to junior surveyors

Required profile

• RICS‑accredited Building Surveying degree
• Working towards MRICS qualification
• Experience in commercial property surveying
• Strong knowledge of dilapidations and technical due diligence
• Contract administration experience
• Excellent written reporting and negotiation abilities
• Confidence to liaise directly with clients
