Building Surveyor – High-End Residential Projects

About the role

This position is with a well‑established building consultancy based in Brentwood, focusing on high‑end residential projects across central London. The role blends site visits with office work, offering exposure to prestigious, architecturally significant properties, including heritage and historic buildings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and write detailed specifications for residential and heritage projects.
• Manage contract administration and liaise with managing agents.
• Oversee project management tasks, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Handle Section 20 Major Works processes and related documentation.
• Conduct site visits 1–2 days per week and coordinate with clients and contractors.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in building surveying, preferably on residential or heritage properties.
• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple live projects.
• Excellent communication skills for client and contractor interaction.
• Chartered status is desirable but not mandatory.
