Building Surveyor – Residential & Commercial Inspections

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join our growing team in Kensington. You will deliver comprehensive surveys and inspections across residential, commercial and public sector properties, providing clear technical recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fabric condition surveys and inspections of buildings and assets.
• Identify defects such as damp, mould, cracking, water ingress and structural issues.
• Carry out HHSRS, fire safety and other compliance inspections.
• Produce accurate technical reports and remedial recommendations.
• Assess maintenance and lifecycle requirements of building elements.
• Collaborate with contractors, clients and internal teams.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage survey schedules and workloads efficiently.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Building Surveyor.
• Knowledge of building defects, fabric inspections and compliance standards.
• Experience producing technical reports from condition surveys.
• Understanding of HHSRS, fire safety and health & safety regulations.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple inspections.
