Business Advisory Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Business Advisory Manager to join a growing accountancy and advisory firm in Glasgow. You will work closely with Client Relationship Managers to deliver high‑quality, profitable services to a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors such as food & drink, technology, oil & gas, and construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of management accounts, year‑end accounts, tax returns, VAT, budgets and forecasts.
• Review and coach assistants and seniors to ensure technical quality and compliance.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, handling queries and managing onboarding, fee proposals, WIP and debt recovery.
• Collaborate with specialist teams to identify cross‑selling opportunities and grow the client portfolio.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the firm’s leadership development programmes.

Required profile

• Professional qualification (ICAS or ACCA) and relevant advisory or accounting experience.
• Proactive leader with excellent communication skills and a passion for professional development.
• Eagerness to adopt new technologies and systems.

Required skills

• Strong IT proficiency with accounts and tax software.
• Experience using client accounting systems and ERP platforms.
• Knowledge of management accounting, budgeting and forecasting processes.
