Business Analyst – All Levels (UK Wide)

About the role

We are partnering with a range of UK employers to recruit Business Analysts at every seniority level – from entry‑level analysts to senior, lead and head of analysis positions. The roles are UK‑based and may be on‑site, hybrid or remote, supporting digital, financial, regulatory, customer, operations and transformation programmes. You will act as the bridge between business and technology, turning ambiguous problems into clear, actionable solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, surface real problems and shape scoped analytical or change work.
• Elicit, document and validate functional, non‑functional, data and process requirements.
• Map current and future‑state processes using BPMN, flowcharts or journey maps and identify improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria for delivery teams.
• Conduct data and process analysis to support business cases, prioritisation and decision‑making.
• Run workshops, interviews and facilitated sessions with operational, commercial and technical audiences.
• Support testing, UAT and go‑live activities to ensure intended outcomes are achieved.
• Collaborate with change, training and operations colleagues to embed new ways of working.
• For senior roles, set BA standards, mentor analysts and lead larger transformation programmes.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and requirements discipline.
• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Commercial awareness to focus work on high‑impact areas.
• Ability to work across the full analysis lifecycle from discovery to benefits realisation.

Required skills

• Requirements elicitation, documentation and management.
• Process modelling and design (BPMN, flowcharts, journey mapping).
• Agile artefacts – user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog refinement, story mapping.
• Intermediate SQL for data investigation and validation.
• Experience with BI/visualisation tools such as Power BI.
