Business Analyst – Digital Ticketing Services

About the role

The Rail Delivery Group is seeking a Business Analyst to support its Digital Ticketing Services programme. You will work closely with programme and project managers to define analysis elements, assist in planning, and deliver cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and clearly define the scope of change and procurement initiatives.
• Collaborate with customer, technical and other teams to capture detailed wants and needs, and articulate solution options, benefits and risks.
• Translate high‑level requirements into detailed functional and non‑functional specifications for procurement documentation.
• Present analysis findings and requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct data analysis to support deliverables.
• Manage prioritisation of requirements.
• Contribute to the evaluation of supplier proposals and assess capability against requirements.
• Review technical designs to ensure compliance with rail industry standards.
• Define acceptance criteria and verify that suppliers meet specifications.
• Support training delivery and create training materials for users.
• Measure and report on benefits delivery and provide input for future roadmaps.
• Ensure all deliverables align with the Business Analysis Practice standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business analysis, system development and application design.
• Strong IT expertise combined with in‑depth business knowledge.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a complex stakeholder environment with multiple external organisations.
