Business Analyst – GovService/Firmstep (Digital Transformation)

About the role

Positive Employment is recruiting a Business Analyst to support a local government organisation in Wembley. The role will contribute to a Digital Transformation Programme, converting workshop insights into user stories and delivering analysis, design and reporting activities. The position is hybrid, requiring 2–3 days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business requirements through interviews, workshops, document reviews, surveys, site visits and workflow mapping.
• Map customer journeys, identify improvement opportunities and support service redesign.
• Analyse statistical and performance data to uncover root causes and recommend enhancements.
• Research best practice and benchmark against other organisations.
• Produce high‑quality reports, business analysis documentation and statistical analyses.
• Document workshop outputs, including minutes, actions, ideas and recommendations.
• Translate workshop notes, sketches and process maps into user stories for digital transformation.

Required profile

• Proven experience with GovService/Firmstep (mandatory).
• Background in digital transformation initiatives within local government or public sector.
• Ability to produce clear, concise workshop artefacts and business requirements.
• Temporary contract (initial 3 months) with the possibility of extension.
• Hybrid working model – 2–3 days on‑site each week.
