Business Analyst – Hybrid (2 days on-site)

About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team in Taunton on a permanent basis. The role is hybrid, with two days a week on‑site, and involves translating strategic objectives into clear, actionable requirements to support a range of business‑critical projects and transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Translate strategic goals into functional specifications and user stories.
• Support project delivery by clarifying requirements, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Maintain and update documentation, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
• Build strong relationships with users and IT colleagues to aid system management and support.

Required profile

• Holds or is working towards a Business Analysis International Diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and ability to write and modify SQL queries.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving, judgement and attention to detail.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering solutions.
