Business Analyst – Market Data & Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst with deep expertise in market data and risk analytics to support Global Markets initiatives. The role will focus on ensuring accurate, scalable usage of risk time‑series data within VaR and other risk modelling frameworks, working closely with trading, risk and technology teams in London.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and data requirements for market data and risk analytics.
• Support VaR models and time‑series data usage, validating inputs and constructing time series.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues, implement and monitor data‑quality controls across pipelines.
• Perform data analysis, reconciliation and validation across multiple systems.
• Collaborate with technology teams to enhance data pipelines and resolve issues.
• Engage with market data vendors and external providers for sourcing and validation.
• Produce functional documentation, user stories and test cases for SIT/UAT.
• Support governance, standardisation and documentation of market data frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in capital markets or market risk.
• Strong understanding of market data concepts, time‑series analysis and data‑quality governance.
• Familiarity with front‑office trading environments (Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives) and risk workflows.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FRTB (IMA exposure preferred).
