Business Developer – Field Sales (UK)

About the role

Our client, a globally recognised brand, is looking for a driven Business Developer to join their UK field‑sales team. You will act as the brand ambassador, building relationships with independent retailers, franchise convenience stores, foodservice outlets and specialist markets across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow accounts within independent and retail markets.
• Identify, convert and nurture new business opportunities into long‑term partnerships.
• Manage and expand existing customer accounts to increase sales performance.
• Drive distribution across franchise convenience groups and symbol groups.
• Collaborate with distributors to maximise coverage and resolve supply challenges.
• Execute in‑store activities such as merchandising, POS placement and promotions.
• Provide product training and support to retail partners.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, feeding insights to internal teams.
• Support payment collection processes in partnership with finance and sales.
• Represent the business at trade events, exhibitions and sampling campaigns.

Required profile

• Previous sales or field‑sales experience is desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Confident, personable and target‑driven.
• Highly organised with excellent time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Commercially aware with a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.
• Willingness to travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

Required skills

• Full UK driving licence.
