Business Development Director – Energy Sector

About the role

This senior, revenue‑driving position focuses on acquiring and developing high‑value enterprise clients in energy procurement and sustainability strategy. You will lead consultative, multi‑stakeholder engagements that help organisations cut energy costs, manage risk and accelerate their Net Zero journey.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, engage and close large, complex B2B opportunities across mid‑market and enterprise segments.
• Own the full sales cycle from origination through to contract signing.
• Lead consultative sales conversations with senior and C‑level stakeholders.
• Position solutions around commercial outcomes and develop tailored proposals aligned to client energy and sustainability goals.
• Maintain a disciplined pipeline, accurate forecasting and consistently hit revenue targets.

Required profile

• Proven track record in energy, utilities or sustainability markets.
• Experience selling energy procurement, carbon or Net Zero solutions to enterprise clients.
• Strong background in B2B complex solution sales with a history of closing high‑value deals.
• Comfortable engaging senior decision‑makers and navigating multi‑stakeholder buying groups.
