Business Development Executive – Consultancy

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to join our growing professional consultancy based at our Feering head office. This consultative sales position focuses on generating new business, advancing quoted opportunities and helping clients recognise the value of specialist services.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively follow up and convert sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
• Identify and pursue cross‑selling opportunities within current accounts.
• Re‑engage dormant or under‑developed accounts.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate scoping and quoting of services.
• Maintain up‑to‑date CRM records and report on pipeline activity.
• Attend client meetings and support the overall sales process.
• Escalate technical queries to appropriate specialists when needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or B2B sales.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication abilities.
• Commercially driven with a track record of managing a sales pipeline.
• Organised, proactive and target‑focused.
• Experience selling professional or consultancy services is a plus.

• Base salary of £40,000‑£42,000 per year.
