Business Development Executive

About the role

We are a prestigious law firm seeking a Business Development Executive to drive growth and client engagement within our Energy & Infrastructure practice. You will work closely with partners, lawyers and business services teams to shape and execute our development strategy across the UK and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Energy & Infrastructure business development strategy.
• Assist with client account management, cross‑selling opportunities and pipeline development.
• Coordinate thought‑leadership initiatives, publications, industry events and profile‑raising activities.
• Conduct market, client and competitor research to identify trends and new business opportunities.
• Prepare pitches, proposals, capability statements and marketing materials.
• Manage directory, award and league‑table submissions.
• Build strong relationships with partners, lawyers and business services teams across the firm.
• Collaborate with global colleagues to provide business development support across jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a business development role at a law firm.
• Strong organisational and project‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify market opportunities and trends.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Proactive, adaptable and collaborative working style.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
