Business Development Executive

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to join our Aylesbury office. You will manage an existing portfolio of customers while actively seeking new opportunities across the UK. The role combines technical product knowledge with strong relationship building.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout the UK.
• Respond to enquiries via phone, email and face‑to‑face visits.
• Recommend suitable engineering products and advise on their applications.
• Deliver product demonstrations and provide technical support.
• Prepare accurate quotations and nurture strong client relationships.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to customers.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a technical sales or engineering environment.
• Interest or knowledge of mechanical/engineering products.
• Excellent communication and customer‑facing confidence.
• Hands‑on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.

Required skills

• Mechanical knowledge (beneficial).

What we offer

• Salary £28,000‑£40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
