Business Development Executive

About the role

The Business Development Executive will join Vermelo RPO's Commercial Team to drive sales, renewals and adjustments across a range of commercial insurance products. You will be responsible for expanding the client base, delivering excellent customer service and meeting operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively source new business opportunities and expand the client portfolio.
• Assess client needs, analyse risks and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of all customer communications in line with company procedures.
• Provide regular updates on sales performance, wins and upcoming action plans.
• Achieve personal, team and departmental targets for volume, satisfaction and turnaround times.
• Visit new and existing customers to nurture professional relationships.
• Participate in training, e‑learns and CPD activities to ensure continuous development.
• Adhere to Markerstudy Business compliance procedures and contribute to team meetings.

Required profile

• Recent experience in sales or commercial insurance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong empathy, clear communication and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Excellent influencing and negotiation abilities.
• Openness to feedback and a proactive approach to change.
• Commitment to doing what’s right and following through on responsibilities.
