Business Development Executive

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected membership organisation that supports some of the UK’s most successful businesses. As a Business Development Executive you will drive membership growth by building strong relationships with prospective members and guiding them through the joining process.

Key responsibilities

• Contact and engage prospective members via phone, email and networking events.
• Understand each organisation’s needs and demonstrate the value of membership.
• Manage the full membership journey from initial enquiry to joining.
• Build long‑term relationships with business leaders and decision‑makers.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with marketing and events teams to maximise opportunities.
• Support projects that improve processes and enhance member engagement.

Required profile

• Experience in sales support, internal sales, account management, customer success, client services, recruitment, membership or relationship management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence speaking with senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Experience with CRM systems is beneficial but not essential.
