Business Development Executive

About the role

Market36 Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Executive to join its commercial team in Feering. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will help clients understand and adopt emerging and strategically important service lines, driving opportunity progression from quote to closure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of emerging, growing and strategic services.
• Explain service value and next steps to clients, supporting their decision‑making.
• Progress quoted opportunities through structured follow‑up, moving them toward instruction, deferral, closure or loss.
• Maintain accurate records of opportunity status, client feedback, actions, barriers and decision timelines.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities within existing and dormant accounts.
• Re‑engage under‑developed accounts as directed by senior management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure services are correctly scoped, quoted and processed.
• Respond to client queries within scope, escalating technical matters when needed.
• Attend client calls, meetings and briefings to support opportunities and answer commercial questions.
• Report regularly on activity, quoted opportunity status, conversion progress and recurring objections.

Required profile

• Previous experience in business development, sales or a commercially focused role.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build positive commercial relationships.
• Strong follow‑up and opportunity management skills.
