Business Development Executive – Software Sales

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Executive to join QBS Software Ltd in Newbury. In this fast‑paced role you will drive sales of a portfolio of software products, build strategic partnerships and directly contribute to the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business and expand market presence for allocated software products.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, resellers, system houses and publishers.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and order processing.
• Identify opportunities through market research and industry awareness.
• Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to execute sales campaigns.
• Provide product training and support to partners and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and report on pipeline, forecasts and KPIs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in software, IT or technology sales.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and results‑driven.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving capabilities.

Required skills

• Experience using CRM systems.
